Mailbox Replacement Policy

Mailbox Replacement Policy

January 28, 2018 Policy Roads 0

The Board of Trustees just passed a mailbox replacement policy. This policy provides the specifications for mailboxes installed along township roads and guidelines for when a mailbox is directly damaged by township operations. Click here to see the policy.

If your mailbox is damaged by direct contact with a township truck or plow, the township will replace or repair it. If the mailbox is of a specialty or exotic type of construction, you have the option of accepting a one-time only cash settlement not to exceed seventy-five dollars ($75.00). Note that damage by thrown snow/slush/ice does not warrant replacement or repair.
